Gregg Silver is the President of 1st Financial Funding & Investment Corporation, where he also chairs the ALCO and Securitization Committees and sits on the Senior Managers’ and Risk Committees. Gregg structured a transaction which won deal of the year from Euromoney magazine.
Prior to 1st Financial, Gregg ran the securitization program for Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, one of the world’s largest banks. Gregg structured transactions all over the world including Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Canada and the United States. He managed a book of credits well in excess of $5 billion and closed more than 100 transactions. While at Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Gregg won first prize in the bank-wide semi-annual Deal of the Semester Competition twice, finished second once and third once. He also won a special commendation award (equivalent of first prize and rarely given). Gregg was the first non-Japanese person (tied with a Briton and Indonesian) to win Best Heart Prize (the highest award within the Bank, similar to Employee of Year).
From 1987-1994, Gregg worked at Citibank Credit Services Inc. in the credit card division treasury area. Gregg was in charge of investor relations, rating agency relationships and credit enhancement relationships for Citibank’s credit card securitization program, the largest one in the nation with more than 30 deals outstanding and balances in excess of $35 billion. He personally closed more than a dozen deals including McKenna Triangle, a CP Conduit transaction which was awarded Deal of the Year by Investment Dealer’s Digest, Institutional Investor and Euromoney.
Gregg was a founding member of the American Securitization Forum, serving on its Board of Directors as well as its Executive Committee. Gregg is a founding member of the Structured Finance Industry Group (SFIG), serving on its Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Audit Committee, and Compensation Committee. From 2013-2015 he also served as SFIG’s Treasurer.
